Technical SEO

Technical SEO audits and troubleshooting

I investigate the technical problems that affect how your website is crawled, rendered, and indexed. The audit covers the relevant templates, server responses, and implementation details, then turns the findings into prioritised work for your developers. I can stay involved while the fixes are implemented and checked.

The work behind the service

Understand the issue before assigning the fix

A crawl export can identify symptoms without explaining what caused them. A technical investigation needs to follow those symptoms through the website's templates, routing, content, and server responses. I review the relevant evidence with your team and separate isolated page issues from problems that affect a whole section or template.

Scope and deliverables

What I can work on

We agree on the scope after reviewing your requirements. A project can focus on one of these areas or combine the relevant work.

Crawling and indexability review

Investigate HTTP responses, canonical URLs, robots directives, sitemap coverage, and important page types. Search Console and crawl data can help identify which issues need a closer look.

Template and rendering checks

Compare the initial HTML with the rendered page and review how navigation and content are delivered. I can investigate the behaviour of React, Next.js, and other JavaScript-based implementations.

Prioritised implementation requirements

Document the issue, examples, recommended changes, and how to validate the result. We can discuss dependencies and sequence the work with the developers responsible for each part.

Implementation QA

Review the agreed changes in a development environment and after release. Validation focuses on the affected behaviour and checks for related issues introduced by the change.

Working together

How the project works

  1. Establish the scope

We identify the affected sections, recent changes, available data, and business priorities.

  2. Investigate and document

I follow the evidence and turn the findings into actionable requirements.

  3. Validate the implementation

I work with your team to check the fixes and identify any remaining issues.

Questions about this service

Can you investigate one specific problem?

Yes. The scope can focus on an indexing drop, a rendering problem, a set of templates, or another defined issue. We do not have to begin with a full-site audit.

Will your recommendations include developer instructions?

Yes. I aim to provide reproducible examples, the expected behaviour, and validation steps. Code samples can be included where they help explain the required implementation.

Can you work alongside our existing agency?

Yes. We agree on responsibilities and access at the start, then coordinate the investigation and implementation with the people already working on the website.
